No. Your phone records locally and sends the take directly to your desktop. Captions, transcripts, and edits are processed in the browser. A server helps the devices find each other using temporary connection information; it does not receive your media or script.
CueStudio processes your speech on your desktop and uses it to follow your place in the script. The English speech model downloads the first time you enable it. You can also choose manual scrolling and adjust the speed and text size yourself.
Keep your original recording or export an edited video with trims, color adjustments, a title card, and burned-in captions. You can also download captions and a transcript. Video formats depend on your browser’s available encoding support.
Use the same reliable Wi-Fi for the easiest connection. Mobile data, VPNs, and hotel or corporate networks can prevent the devices from connecting. Keep your phone in the foreground until your recording has finished transferring.
